
Toronto Smartphone Film Festival (TSFF)
As the only smartphone film festival in Canada, Toronto Smartphone Film Festival provides an international platform for creative video content providers from Toronto and abroad to showcase their talents. As a not-for-profit organization, TSFF’s mission is to encourage aspiring filmmakers to start making their own films without having to equip themselves with fancy equipments, expensive cameras, and field experiences. In doing so, TSFF strives to maintain film submission and festival admission free of charge.
The film festival was founded with an original name, Arirang Korea Smartphone Film Festival (AKSFF), which themed on Korean culture. AKSFF proved to be successful, unveiling inclusive smartphone film festival.
In response to the demands, the film festival evolved to Toronto Smartphone Film Festival (TSFF).
TSFF allows anyone from any cultural backgrounds to participate in the festival as long as they can create films using With smartphones becoming increasingly powerful, they’re quickly becoming equipped with quality cameras that can be used to capture some impressive video.
